PGD 2009-10 commences

The Postgraduate Diploma Programme (PGD) took in a record 54 students in September 2009. The computer lab facilities were expanded to continue to accomodate one-PC-per-student. Below the students are visiting the International Office of Stellenbosch University, which helps AIMS in the necessary administration and to get visas for the PGD students.

Postgraduate Diploma Graduation 2008-9

All forty-two Diploma students graduated on 25 June 2009 at a special ceremony held at the Muizenberg Pavilion. The ceremony was addressed by the Kenyan High Commissioner to the Republic of South Africa, His Excellency Mr T Amolo. PGD Graduation 2007-8

Graduation took place on the 24th of June 2008 at the Muizenberg Pavilion. Graduates and academics met at the AIMS building from where they proceeded to the Pavilion. Of the 53 students, 52 graduated and eight of these did so with distinction. The Minister of Education, Naledi Pandor, gave the main address at the ceremony.

PGD Graduation 2006-7

The graduation ceremony for the Diploma students took place at AIMS on 23rd June 2007. The diplomas were conferred on the students by the Vice Chancellors of the three local universities: Prof Russel Botman (Stellenbosch), Prof Brian O’Connell (University of the Western Cape) and Prof Njabulo Ndebele (University of Cape Town).
