|Prof. Szendroi is Professor of Pure Mathematics at the University of Oxford. His interest lies in pure mathematics research and research development, especially on the African continent.|
He received his PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge in 1999.
He is a member of Regional Steering Committee, East African Centre for Mathematical Research; a Chair of the Finance Committee, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford; and a Director (Trustee) of Supporting African Maths Initiatives, London-based charity that aims to improve mathematics education in Africa. He was formerly a Senior Tutor (Academic Director) at St Peter’s College, Oxford and Chair of the Art Committee, Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford.
He has been a member of the AIMs Council since 2014.
