Mathematician Ludovic Tangpi, who graduated from AIMS South Africa in 2010, has been awarded the third annual AMS Claytor-Gilmer Fellowship. The year-long fellowship was established to further excellence in mathematics research and to help generate wider and sustained participation by Black mathematicians.
