Neil Turok has been selected as one of the 2010 Laureates for the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE). He won the award for the AIMS-Next Einstein Initiative which he launched after winning the TED prize in 2008. The Qatar Foundation and the WISE Awards International Jury announced the six winning projects under the theme of Transforming Education: Investment, Innovation and Inclusion. The projects were selected from hundreds of applications originating from 89 countries and all regions of the world. The awards are designed to reward, showcase and support outstanding and innovative educational projects from across the world and from all educational sectors.
