The Africa Data Science Intensive Program is a hands-on skills training program in data science based on solving real-world problems.
In this program you will receive exposure to the latest algorithms and techniques in data science, covering topics in Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Unlike most courses in data science we emphasise real-world skills including:
- Practical artificial Intelligence
- Management of data science projects
- ETL and deployment of AI systems
- Business problem solving skills
- Computer Science fundamentals
- Machine Learning fundamentals (supervised and unsupervised learning)
Course Structure:
3 x three-week online modules (25-30 hours/week) and a two-week in-person workshop
Dates:
7 September to 6 November 2020 and 18 to 29 January 2021
Requirements:
Honours, Master’s or PhD degree in Science, Engineering or Mathematics or equivalent industrial experience
Scholarships:
Full awards covering tuition, and travel and living expenses to attend two-week workshop available for qualifying African students
