The President of Ghana, Professor John Atta-Mills, through Vice-President John Mahama, has committed 1.5 million US dollars to the building of AIMS-Ghana, a pan-African centre of excellence in the mathematical sciences to be built in Saltpond, seat of the African independence movement.
AIMS Ghana is scheduled to open in September 2012 and will offer world-class postgraduate education in the mathematical sciences to the best science graduates, men and women, from across Africa.
