The AIMS 2004/5 graduation took place on 24 June at 5pm. Forty-one students successfully defended an essay for their postgraduate diploma.
Professor Neil Gershenfeld, director of MIT’s Center for Bits and Atoms, gave a lecture entitled Bits and Atoms at 1:30pm. Professor Romain Murenzi, the Hon. Minister of Education, Science and Technology (Rwanda), presented a mathematical lecture entitled Applications of Continuous Wavelet Transforms to Image Processing at 3pm.
