Cosmology & Astrophysics
Research in this area is undertaken by the Cosmology Group at AIMS South Africa in a variety of areas of theoretical, observational and computational cosmology with membership of various large international collaborations such as the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS). In addition the group maintains close working relationships with the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO), the South African SKA project, the Centre for High Performance Computing and the National Astrophysics and Space Science Programme (NASSP). The group also runs workshops, seminars and a vigorous visitors programme bringing experimentalists, theorists and data analysis experts together to encourage interaction and collaboration.
