IT Coordinator & Mathematics Lecturer

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences Schools Enrichment Centre (AIMSSEC), in Muizenberg, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates, for the position of IT Coordinator & Lecturer. This is a one year full -time contract position of 40 hours per week with possible further extension.

The incumbent should have a passion for mathematics and for improving educational opportunities for underprivileged learners; excellent oral and communication skills and planning and organising skills; energy, flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile to achieve project goals. AIMSSEC is looking for a team player with good interpersonal, team leadership and people management skills.

Part-time Accountant

The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) is an innovative, pan-African network of centres of excellence for post-graduate education, research and outreach, which has achieved global recognition since opening its first centre in South Africa in 2003.

AIMS South Africa, located in Muizenberg, is seeking to appoint a Part-time Accountant (NPO/NGO) 20 hours per week, who will be responsible for the day to day performance and monitoring of accounting functions, to ensure that grants are managed and accounted for in an effective and sustainable manner, in accordance with organisational policy and procedures, and donor requirements.  This is a part-time, one year contract position with the possibility of extension.

Postdoctoral Fellowship in Data Science

Applications are invited for the DAAD funded postdoctoral fellowship in Data Science at AIMS South Africa under the supervision of Dr Bubacarr Bah, the German Research Chair for Data Science.
